At Litner+Deganian, we love opportunities to get involved in our community and support a great cause. This spring, we’ll be sponsoring and taking part in Emory’s Relay for Life, held Saturday, April 7, at McDonough Field in Atlanta. We can’t wait to get out there with our team members, walk our laps, honor lost loved ones, and recognize cancer survivors and those currently undergoing treatment.
Relay for Life takes place in hundreds of communities each year, helping to raise millions of dollars for the American Cancer Society. These funds help support life-saving research, detection programs, education, and support services. But what makes a Relay truly special is all the fundraising is local and team-based. When you walk, you walk with friends, neighbors, coworkers, and classmates. One of the most poignant moments of any Relay—the luminary ceremony—is a reminder of that. With candle-lit bags honoring or memorializing those with cancer, it’s a powerful visual image of why we fight.
This year, Litner+Deganian is proud to be a platinum sponsor of Emory’s event. And, because we wouldn’t want to miss out on all the fun, as well as the powerful feeling of being in community with others for a cause, we’ll be bringing our own team, captained by paralegal Adam Shrout. “We’re happy to join Adam in supporting Emory’s Relay for Life, a cause with a close personal connection for him,” said Steve Litner.

With a team goal of raising $1,500 before April 7, we’re off to a good start. You can follow along with Litner+Deganian’s efforts on our Relay for Life team profile page. And, if you plan to be at Emory’s Relay this year, come walk some laps with us! There’s sure to be music, games, and plenty of snacks and other goodies to keep the teams motivated. The event starts at 5 p.m. at Emory’s McDonough Field in Atlanta.
